The project involves the creation of a Geographic Information System Data Management and Citizen Service (GIS) to enhance information and service to citizens and quality of service related to geoinformation data, the Municipality of Lamia to its inhabitants.

The project works in such a way as to provide a common, unified online access point (a portal similar to the familiar "Portals" information) in a number of Geoinformation systems and applications to support the services of the Municipality of Lamia directly related or indirectly to the public. The portal also provides access to a wider public (citizens, employees in the Municipality of Lamia, employees of other public agencies and municipal bodies) in the compound but also organized, consistent and elegant presentation of information relating to the Municipality of Lamia.

The purpose of the project includes the necessary Geoinformation systems (GIS) and applications for the operation of municipal services related to information and citizen service and therefore a central role in operational support of GIS systems will be to organize and disseminate the contents while recording procedures and documents used to handle cases of major cases in which the newspaper addressed today to the offices of the Joint Service in the municipality.

The project includes the supply of software development for special applications are complemented by digital data, supply and installation of computer systems, staff training and support of the production function for the provision of electronic services by the Municipality of Lamia.

Under this framework, the project includes :

-Organization of applications and computer systems, existing and new under the current project, you "Geographical Information System" of the Municipality of Lamia, which will organize the information material and services related to Geoinformation data, and diffuses through the respective applications for citizens, users of municipal services and ADS, businesses and other public services.

-modernizing infrastructure provided electronic services related to Geoinformation data Municipality of Lamia and of related procedures which will contribute directly to supporting the institutional and organizational interventions and reforms and indirectly enhance the quality of services and reorganization of internal procedures.
